"The best in music is not in the notes." (Gustav Mahler)
The warm and expressive sound of the viola has always inspired me and gives me great pleasure in making music with my pupils at every level. In my lessons I place great emphasis on the development of the student’s individual creativity, rhythm and body awareness. Depending on the wishes of my pupils, we play classical music as well as pop, rock and film music in various instrumentations, whether solo, in a duo, in a trio, or in a larger ensemble.
The goals for my instrumental lessons are creativity, body awareness, fun, joy, discipline and communication.
I teach viola at the Biel Music School and lead the string orchestra Camerata. I teach viola at the Oberemmental Music Schooland, in addition, I give private violin and viola lessons in my studio in Bern.
